Equal Ground Strategies provides disability and accessibility consulting that helps businesses, destinations, nonprofits, and organizations move beyond basic ADA compliance to create more welcoming, inclusive experiences for everyone.

EGS identifies accessibility barriers that often hide in plain sight, from physical layouts and customer experiences to everyday operational practices, and provides practical, achievable strategies for removing them. Services include accessibility assessments and consulting, customized staff training and presentations, live virtual training, and immersive Access Experiences that allow teams to examine their spaces from a wheelchair user’s perspective. Through mobility partnerships with Scoot around and WHILL, mobility devices can also be incorporated into experiential training.

Founder and Consultant Sylvia Longmire is a service-disabled Air Force veteran, certified disability rights and accessibility consultant, award-winning accessible travel writer and filmmaker, author, TEDx speaker, and wheelchair user. Having traveled to 59 countries and trained thousands of professionals, Sylvia combines professional expertise with lived experience to help organizations better understand and connect with the disability community.
