Job Overview
The Sanford Herald is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper with experience using QuickBooks on a Mac platform. This position is ideal for a self-motivated individual who is organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple financial and administrative tasks efficiently.


Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in QuickBooks
  • Prepare and mail subscriber and advertiser invoices
  • Follow up on delinquent accounts via phone and email
  • Process payments, including running credit cards and handling PayPal transactions
  • Transfer PayPal funds to the company account
  • Make deposits at the local bank
  • Respond to emails and assist with general inquiries
  • Provide backup support for answering phones as needed
  • Print and prepare weekly reports for the post office

Qualifications
  • Proven experience with QuickBooks (Mac experience preferred)
  • Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
