Job Overview
The Sanford Herald is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper with experience using QuickBooks on a Mac platform. This position is ideal for a self-motivated individual who is organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple financial and administrative tasks efficiently.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in QuickBooks
- Prepare and mail subscriber and advertiser invoices
- Follow up on delinquent accounts via phone and email
- Process payments, including running credit cards and handling PayPal transactions
- Transfer PayPal funds to the company account
- Make deposits at the local bank
- Respond to emails and assist with general inquiries
- Provide backup support for answering phones as needed
- Print and prepare weekly reports for the post office
- Proven experience with QuickBooks (Mac experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Part-Time position (hours may vary)
