The Sanford Chamber of Commerce is organizing a monthly networking event called "Women in Business - Ladies Luncheon" for local businesswomen. The luncheons will take place the third Thursday of every month throughout 2024. The March luncheon is scheduled for Thursday, March 21st. This event provides an opportunity for businesswomen to expand their circle of influence, promote their businesses and services, and build long-lasting relationships. Additionally, attendees will learn more about a Non-Profit Organization working in the community to help those in need.
This month, Ms. Erin O’Donnell will be speaking about the Picnic Project. This local 501c3 is a non-profit organization that started in 2009 with the belief that sharing is caring. The Picnic Project began cooking chef-prepared meals weekly for anyone in the community and has now grown into weekly gatherings that serve people from all walks of life. The organization aims to make everyone feel welcome and appreciated in the community. The Picnic Project has big dreams of continuing to provide weekly groceries for neighbors struggling to put food on the table and promoting healthier living through the food they provide.
