SANFORD FOOD TRUCK WARS COMPETITION
Free Event Brings 40+ Food Trucks, Celebrity Judges to Sanford
SANFORD, Fla – May 21, 2016 – Seminole Towne Center Mall is bringing the best food trucks in Florida to compete in Food Truck Wars on Saturday, May 21 from 12:00pm to 6:00pm. The latest in a series of Food Truck Wars around the state, the competition will include a kid zone, beer garden and live entertainment with local favorites; Trickle Down. In addition, in celebration of Armed Forces Day, representatives from our US Military will be on hand. Don’t miss the opportunity to stop by and offer them a well-deserved hand shake.
Food Truck Wars will feature more than 40 gourmet food trucks from all over the state dishing up a variety of food at an average $6.00 to $8.00 a plate. Each truck is competing to win an award: Top Ticket Taker, Top Food Sales, Delectable Desserts, Causal Cuisine and the highly coveted People’s Choice Award. All who attend are encouraged to cast their vote for the best meal at the Voting Station and meet the celebrity judges. Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association’s Jim Whaples, Chairmen Emeritus Central Florida, will lead food truck judging and the award ceremony.
Beyond the tasty treats that await visitors, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy live entertainment by local band Trickle Down, cold drinks in the beer garden, a kid zone ($5.00 admission), and much more. A portion of proceeds will benefit local charities through the Sanford Regional Chamber.
This event includes free admission, complementary parking and is open to the public, all ages and ‘foodies’ welcome. Sponsors include: Seminole Towne Center, Sanford Regional Chamber of Commerce, Geico, Visit Central Florida, and the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association.
