Dennis Lemma, Sheriff, Seminole County Sheriff's Office
Sheriff Dennis Lemma has served as Seminole County’s Sheriff since 2017 and was sworn in for his third term in 2025. With nearly 33 years of service in the agency, he has risen through the ranks from correctional officer to the county’s 10th elected Sheriff. He leads more than 1,400 employees and oversees a $185 million budget.
A U.S. Marine Corps veteran and graduate of the FBI National Academy, Sheriff Lemma is actively involved in statewide efforts addressing opioid abuse and drug prevention and serves in leadership roles within both the Florida Sheriffs Association and Major County Sheriffs of America.
