Event Description:
Tropical Storm Harvey's multi-day siege on Texas and the Gulf Coast has killed at least five, prompted thousands of rescues and triggered catastrophic flooding across the Houston metro, east Texas and Louisiana. Multiple rescues and total devastation exist across the region.
Our country has a long history and tradition of coming together in times of need. To facilitate the effort in Sanford-The Sanford Chamber of Commerce has begun a fund to assist.
The American Red Cross, a nationally known and respected disaster relief organization is on the ground in Houston to assist. As you can imagine, the scope of their efforts as the storm continues and the aftermath grows will challenge their available resources.
100% OF FUNDS DONATED BY YOU WILL BE SENT DIRECTLY TO THE AMERICAN RED CROSS HURRICANE HARVEY DISASTER FUND. We will conclude efforts on Friday, September 8.
